Hello, I'm

Daniel Anthony

Welcome, my name is Daniel. I'm an aspiring programmer. I've loved video games ever since I was a kid, especially handheld gaming. I published my first app, Pothole Killers on Google Play and seek greater opportunities. Take a look and feel free to get in touch if you'd like to discuss potential opportunities to collaborate.

My Projects

Pothole Killers

Pothole Killers is a top-down endless shooter/scroller for Android platforms. Players take on the role of street saviors, tasked with rescuing the roads from potholes while dodging obstacles. Originally created during Global Game Jam, the project evolved into a fully-fledged game. Developed in Unity with assets provided by the team, my role as the lead developer spanned from integrating mobile features such as Achievements and in-app purchases. Navigating through various menus and controls tailored for mobile gameplay was also an integral part of my contributions, ensuring a smooth user experience.

MixMaster DJ Turntable

MixMaster DJ Turntable is a music player app for Android. Developed using Unity, as the sole developer, I scripted file browsing, music cues, and playlists. I also worked on a secure login system and comment section, integrated using PHP and SQL to connect and retrive data from a database server, fostering communication and feedback exchange among users.

The Commons XR Experience

The Commons XR Experience is a web-based educational project developed in Unity, integrating web design and server connectivity. As a Software Engineer, my contributions included creating and defining participant types, their roles and characteristics, and implementing a resource allocation tool for instructors to efficiently manage assets between locations. Leveraging Microsoft Azure and SQL, I established dynamic data access from the server, enabling seamless extraction of student information. Furthermore, I optimized asset management by converting objects into Asset Bundles, enabling faster loading times.

Extremophile

You play as an extremophile fungus that thrives on radioactive material. After seeing a mushroom cloud in the distance, you make a pilgrimage towards the source. Use momentum, spores, and taking root into the environment to make your way through the hazards. Arrow keys to move. "X" to shoot a spore into highly radioactive surfaces.

Sound Mixer DJ

Sound Mixer DJ is a music player app made in Adobe Animate and AS3 for Android. As the programmer, I integrated file browsing, sound cue mixing, and a search function for users to find their favorite latino songs. This app connects to a SQL database server using PHP in conjunction with HTML to access its songs.

Lost in Translation

A card-based action-RPG made in Unreal Engine 4. My final project in college features a small town map with NPCs to talk to, as well as a functioning shop/item system, level-up system, game save slots, cards with unique in-battle effects, and a simple battle system.
